With just two weeks left of 2023 we thought we’d summarise what has been a year filled with opportunity, utility and community at SportsIcon.

January 5th — SportsIcon Marketplace released.
January 8th — Lion Holders attended Atlanta Falcons vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (Tom Brady’s last ever regular game) Full Vlog can be found here.
January 18th — The Sports Road newsletter launched. All the latest weekly Sports Tech news to 48,000 subscribers.
January 19th — Lion Holders attended Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur in hospitality. Game finished 4–2 to Manchester City.
January 19th — Lion Club holders connect wallets to claim first 4 chapters of the exclusive Mike Vick NFT collection.
January 23rd — NFL Fantasy Pick’Ems league pays out $1000 to Lion Club entries.
January 24th— Lionesses airdropped to winners of festive competition winners.
February 28th — Lion Holders attended Chicago Bulls vs Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena. Raptors won 104 - 98.
March 3rd — 6 x new members of the Lion Club advisory board are announced. The board have met every month to discuss Lion Club developments and plans.
March 5th — SportsIcon Podcast Interview with UFC Superstar, Amanda Nunes.
March 12th — College Basketball March Madness bracket challenge begins.
March 23rd — Tickets given away to NFT Melbourne in Australia in collaboration with NFTMelbourne.
April 2nd — Australian Grand Prix attended by Lion Club holders.
April 9th — Club America v Monterrey at the famous Azteza Stadium, Mexico City.
April 17th — NBA Bracket Challenge announced. $490 paid to winners.
April 23rd — Charity money raised and donated for London Marathon runner.
May 2nd — Collaboration with Play Swoops NFT. $250 raised for the Lion Club.
May 5th — Future Icons programme launched.
May 10th — First Future Icon athlete announced - MMA star, John Mitchell.
May 18th — First Zealy Quest competition. 99 entries.
May 30th — Future Icons Fan Art Competition — John Mitchell NFTs won.
June 1st — Mint Day of John Mitchell Fan Token. Inaugural Future Icon athlete.
June 8th — Fantasy Premier League monthly winners paid for 2022/2023 season.
June 12th- $ICONS paid to community members that took part in NFT Consultancy sessions.
June 16th — Lion Club Custodial Wallet announced. As created by Advisory board. Wallet holds multiple NFT’s for the community.
July 10th — Future Icon athlete, John Mitchell wins first PFL Europe fight. John Mitchell Fan Token holders join Twitter Spaces to e-meet during fight.
July 27th — SportsIcon announced SportGPT AI. Your personalised Sports Coach in your pocket.
August 3rd — First Lions Burned! — Fantasy Premier League set up for 2023–2024 season. Entry requires burning of Lion. 15 Lions burned.
August 5th — Lion Holders attended Scotland v France Rugby at Murrayfield, Glasgow.
September 1st — Return of NFL Pick’ems league for 2023/24 season. Entry requirement to burn a Lion NFT. 14 Lions burned.
September 4th — SportsIcon listed in the top 10 European startups for shaping the future of sports by EU Startups.
September 13th — Ticket giveaway census form launched. Community decide on sport and location of next events.
October 30th — New Ticket Giveaway winners announced.
November 12th — The Sports Road newsletter reaches 900,000 impressions.
December 1st — Lion Holders attend Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76'ers at TD Garden, Boston.
December 8th — Future Icons holders attend John Mitchell, European Title Fight at 3 Arena, Dublin Ireland. Accommodation and Tickets paid for.
